Hey everyone! If you’re following me on Twitter you know that I found a lump Friday on my dog, MJ. I was and still am very alarmed about this new discovery.
The next day I took MJ to the vet, and she said that it might be from the penicillin he was given when I got his teeth cleaned a few weeks ago. She said that sometimes dogs react to the penicillin and it doesn’t show up until a couple of weeks later, but that it should go away within 4 weeks from being given the penicillin, so since it’s been around 2 weeks, the lump should go away within 2 weeks if the lump is a result of the penicillin.
I REALLY REALLY hope it’s just from the penicillin because the other possible reasons are serious. Once I found the lump, I started researching on the internet for possible causes of the lump, and I also discussed some of what I researched with the vet. Other possible causes could be it is a tumor or fatty deposits. Both of which need to be removed surgically, and a tumor could result in cancer. NNNNOOOO….Please pray for MJ. He’s gone through enough health issues at such a young age, and I just want him to be happy and healthy. I’ll update you on MJ in future posts.

P.S. An update on my earlier post on dental cleaning: I’ve been using the dental spray for a couple of weeks now, and the dogs do not like it much, and I can’t really tell if it’s working, but I can say that Momo and MJ’s teeth are still white and clean.
